New York Romance Movies List

Why not spend Valentine's Day snuggling up with some Movie Romances, New York style!

Here are some Favorite New York-set Romances.

I've always been a big fan of When Harry Met Sally (1989). Say what you will about it, I find the Film to be endlessly charming, quotable and with some of the best New York Locations you'll find on Film. Moonstruck (1987) also falls into this category. Wildly popular, but for a good reason. It's also notable for being one of Nic Cage's last sexy roles (The last being Wild At Heart in 1990)

Because of the absolute dreck that lies out there in the genre (the recent New York-set Something Borrowed immediately comes to mind), the Romantic Film usually gets a bad rap. But, Romantic Films aren't all bad. There are clearly some good Movies in the genre (There are well over 100 titles in this list alone!). Besides some of the more obvious choices, here are 10 from this list that are good Romantic fun:

They All Laughed (1981)
Crossing Delancey (1988)
Willie and Phil (1980)
Trust (1990)
Mr. Jealousy (1997)
The First Time (1983)
Starting Over (1979)
Living Out Loud (1998)
Three of Hearts (1993)
Love at First Bite (1979)

Excellent list, as usual. I love your inclusion of The Wedding Banquet, one of my favorites. Also, I have The Apartment on my DVR box. I haven't seen it in forever, and I need to watch it.
