This little movie opened the weekend before:
(the most successful R-Rated comedy of all time until 2009's The Hangover)
The following week people learned how to stop worrying and love the boogaloo:
Beverly Hills Cop stayed on top for weeks on end, thus less films were released during the change into the new year, but that's okay. The one-two Betsy Russell punch of
opened in January of 1985 and I had something else to go see and drool over.
Oh, and December 1984 wouldn't be complete without...

Betsy Russell is still smokin hot!
I loved Cotton Club. Couldn't find what was so wrong about it.
Wow, its weird, but I remember this exact time of the year, when Tomboy was playing in theaters! I was living in The Bronx, NEW YORK, and I went to watch two movies to the theater:
Conan The Destroyer which by the way was playing in a double bill with D.C. Cab, thats the movie where Mr. T plays a freaking cab driver! I had to actually sit through D.C. Cab in order to see Conan!
Wow, those posters take me back. And where was I when Suzanne Somers did Playboy? (Since I was 15 at the time, maybe I'm better off not remembering.)
Thank God that Tomboy is available and videocassette AND videodisc. :)
Her wrench is shiny.
What Tom said.
